The USO is partnering with Cheerios to send thanks and support to our nation's military families who sacrifice right along with their loved ones serving. Specially marked boxes of Cheerios now feature "Cheer" postcards: Simply cut out the pre-addressed card, write a message on the back, add and stamp and mail it. The USO will distribute the Cheer postcard to military families. Sloan Gibson is the U-S-O's C-E-O:
"While sending a message of thanks is a simple gesture, to these families, receiving a "Cheer" postcard will be a welcome reminder that others care. It's an easy way for us to touch the lives of military families.
Another way sending Cheer helps support military families is that for each postcard received from a specially marked cereal box through November of next year, Cheerios will donate one dollar to the USO for programs that support our troops and their families."
Cheerios has already donated $150,000 and will donate up to an additional $100,000 to the USO based upon the number of postcards received by November 30, 2012. For more information, visit Cheerios.com.
